Health

What is health?

Health is health and a person’s state of health – therefore health covers everything from personal care to the food you eat. The better you look after yourself, your body, your skin and your circulation, the better your health. Health also consists of both physical and mental health, where the aforementioned categories are part of physical health – however, physical health affects mental health, as well-being, joy, balance and a healthy diet contribute to balanced mental health.

Health for you

Only you know what health is for you. It may be that you care a lot about your health, perhaps less or even not at all. Regardless, it’s only good to focus on your health. The better you feel, the more manageable it is to do what you like.

Perhaps you take care of your health by exercising, e.g. walking, running, cycling, swimming or fitness. When you exercise, you strengthen your circulation and health. You burn calories and fat and the more exercise you do, the better your condition will be. Yoga and meditation are also something many use to strengthen and care for their health. An adult is recommended to do at least 30 minutes of exercise daily, while children should exercise for at least one hour. Whether it’s a brisk walk with the dog, cycling to and from work or a run after work or school is not that important. The important thing is that you get your heart rate up every 30-60 minutes.

Diet, both food and drink, also affects your health. A healthy diet positively affects your body and health. It is, among other things, through the diet that you supply the body with all the essential vitamins and minerals. In order for the body and its functions to function optimally, it needs the right amounts of each vitamin and mineral. In some periods, it may be necessary to supplement with nutritional supplements. This applies, for example, to Vitamin D – a vitamin that is primarily obtained through the sun’s rays. In Denmark, we have many dark months, i.e. months when the sun is not very bright. Combined with the fact that we often work indoors during the sunny hours, we can become deficient in vitamin D. Vitamin D deficiency quickly affects mental well-being, as the vitamin i.a. contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system.

Personal care is also part of your health. Well-kept skin, healthy hair and beautiful nails are just some of the things that make you feel good. A healthy interior and exterior is achieved, among other things. through healthy diet, nutritional supplements and good care products. Vitamins and minerals work from the inside, but if they are added to care products, they penetrate the skin or hair where their properties come into play.
